The G.A.W. AOE Spacer is a precision tuning component from Gungineer Airsoft Works in Japan, designed to facilitate a perfect Angle of Engagement (AOE) between the sector gear and the piston. By installing this spacer between the piston head and the piston body, the piston is shifted rearward by a specific increment, ensuring the sector gear's first tooth picks up the piston at a flatter, more efficient angle. This reduces stress on the initial pickup tooth and significantly lowers the risk of catastrophic failure in high-speed or high-torque builds. Unlike heavy metal washers, these are made of POM (Polyoxymethylene), maintaining a low reciprocating mass while providing high impact resistance.
